QMT'S REEFER MADNESS

A musical parody of the 1936 propaganda film "Tell Your Children", Reefer Madness chronicles melodramatically catastrophic events resulting from teenagers indulging in the destructive, yet seductive, effects of marihuana. As told to the audience by The Lecturer, we follow the story of young Jimmy Harper falling victim to this menace, later to redeem himself by telling the world the truth.

In a culture so often exploited under threats of uncertainty, Director Joey Graff has chosen to explore the horrifying but hilarious world of political lobbying and propaganda, achieving a vibrant approach to Kevin Murphy and Dan Studneys writing, and shedding new light on the characters of a cult classic. After QMTs resounding success with Sweeney Todd in December 2012, Reefer Madness will continue to uphold the companys renowned performance value and professionalism, and seeks to astound and amuse the Queens University and Kingston communities.
