Performing some of the best music ever created in a live concert setting is at the heart of what the Kingston Symphony does, and we do it for you! Our purpose is to make a connection, elicit an emotional response, and show you an outstanding time out on the town.
The Kingston Symphony's 2017-2018 season promises a program of music that embodies passion and brilliance, featuring outstanding guest artists. Our Masterworks Series concerts allow you to experience the classic brilliance of works by legendary composers, including performances of Beethoven’s, Tchaikovsky’s, & Shostakovich’s fifth symphonies. Marvel at Mozart’s Gran Partita and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. Experience Dvorak’s beloved Cello Concerto as well as Victor Herbert’s Cello Concerto No. 2, which inspired it. Become familiar with exceptional Canadian compositions and musicians, including a performance by the winner of the Isabel Overton Bader Canadian Violin Competition, Yolanda Bruno.
Looking for a fun time out on the town? Treat yourself to our Pops Series concerts, including a show featuring your favourite movie scores by John Williams. Reminisce to the best of the crooners with Sinatra & Friends and delve into the world of folk music with Sultans of String.
In addition, celebrate the holidays at one of our Candlelight Christmas performances and enjoy our two family-friendly concerts, Peter & the Wolf and Fiddle Fire.
