1969 is a vibrant, urgent coming-of-age story about rebellion, hope, and the cost of change.  Inspired by true events, 1969 follows two teenage girls hitchhiking to Montreal, determined to protest the Vietnam War and join John Lennon’s iconic bed-in for peace. Along the way, they meet a young American runaway hiding secrets of his own. As their journey unfolds, ideals clash with reality, and the road to peace proves more complicated than they imagined. A dynamic chorus weaves through their story, echoing the voices of a generation on the brink of
change. Can they hold onto their dreams, or will the times reshape them forever?

This show includes dialogue about PTSD, death and the impacts of war, course language, sexual abuse, and suicide.
