42. Writing Culture: Your Own or Others'
What kinds of questions should writers ask themselves when writing about culture especially cultures that aren't their own? What are the best approaches for understanding and collecting information about other peoples cultures? And how can writers present these stories in a way that respects and doesn't appropriate other cultures? Globe and Mail journalist Ann Hui explains her methods and provides examples of what to do and what to avoid, for group discussion. Ticket purchasers will receive these readings by email in advance. Limited enrolment.
