When the aging Professor Serebryakov and his young wife Yelena return to the family estate, long-simmering tensions begin to rise among the people whose lives have revolved around them for years. Uncle Vanya, who has devoted much of his life to supporting the Professor’s work, is suddenly forced to confront feelings of regret, resentment, and missed opportunity.
