A yearly festival featuring 7 One-Act plays.  This is an adjudicated event.  The best production, as selected by a panel of three judges, may be remounted at the Eastern Ontario Drama League’s One-Act Festival held in Merrickville.  Schedule to follow at a later time.

Acorn by Harry Jordon:

3 couples in love, an older couple who talk about their travels. A middle aged couple that talk about getting ready to travel, and a younger couple just starting out, talk about buying a house having kids and one day being able to travel

Nutz by Kate Barker:

The gang from Peanuts, now in their late 50s, get together for one last night at Marcie's Bar. But things aren't like they used to be. As MAGA thugs hurl bottles and abuse outside, the gang must come to terms with this new and frightening world.

Letters from Aunt Polly by Warren C, Godfrey:

In 2024 a collection of letters are found in an abandoned outhouse on a heritage farm. The letters reveal the activities of two days in Kingston in 1842 when Charles Dickens and his wife Catherine visited Canada for their only visit. introducing historical facts with a bit of artistic licence, a short drama turns into comedy.
In 1842 Charles Dickens and his wife visited Kingston for three days. His memoirs were missing some notes later found. This story tells those missing hours.

The Fall after Midsummer by Chloe Whitehorn:

Tania and Ron's fairytale romance was like a dream, until it wasn't. Ron needs help, Tania's over it, and Nick has lost his head over it all. A modern sequel to one of Shakespeare's most toxic love stories.

Sea Wall by Simon Stephens:

The play is a monologue set in southern France where Alex and his family are vacationing . Alec m a photographer recounts his life , including his relationship with his father in law his wife and his daughter as he grapples with a profound sense of loss and the fragility of life.

I'll Call You Back by Valerie Winslow:

Danny, age 32 has telephone conversations with his girlfriend (soon to be fiancé) and his grandmother. Calls are interrupted and confusion ensues. Add in a dialed wrong number to the mix, and hilarity ensues.

Tribute to Wildflower by Penny Barker:

Julie and her younger sister Shannon have been best friends since childhood, until an argument leads to an estrangement. Now, in the midst of her grief, she has been called upon to give a speech at Shannon's celebration of life. With the help of a kind stranger, Julie finds a way to move past her heartbreak and pay a fitting tribute to her beloved sister.
