Into The Woods

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Into the Woods transports audiences into the storybook world of the Brothers Grimm, where beloved characters’ paths cross in the most unexpected ways. The musical follows multiple storylines: a baker and his wife embarking on a difficult journey to break a witch's curse, Cinderella who longs to attend the King’s festival, and Jack who wishes to keep his cow. Along the way, we meet Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, and other familiar figures as they each learn the true cost of wishes coming true.

Into the Woods is a witty and moving exploration of choices and their consequences, revealing how the whimsy of fairy tales can quickly darken when “happily ever after” isn’t guaranteed. Sondheim and Lapine masterfully pull at heartstrings while uncovering what lies beneath the stories we think we know. Lighting and sound levels are adjusted to reduce sensory strain, audience members are free to move or make noise as necessary, and a quiet space will be made available outside the theatre. This performance invites everyone—especially neurodivergent or disabled audience members, and those with anxiety or sensory sensitivities to experience the show comfortably and without judgment.
