DeeDee Austin is a 19-year-old Indigenous singer-songwriter, recognized both for her considerable musical talents – which have brought her multiple industry honours and awards, including Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer on Canada’s Got Talent – but as well for her unique ability to inspire and educate through her music.
DeeDee, a member of the Abegweit First Nation in PEI, lives with her family in Nova Scotia. Her robust career has taken her across eastern Canada where she has appeared on-stage with artists such as Aysanabee, April Wine, Matt Mays, Classified, Matt Andersen among many. She is as at home performing for audiences of 10 or 10,000. She has recorded two albums and is completing a third release in 2026. In demand as a headliner at festivals and shows across the country, she has also received accolades for her school presentations.
