Kingston Cultural Services Invites Educators to First-Ever Annual Event
Join the City’s Cultural Services at the Grand Theatre on Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 from 4:00pm to 6:00PM to learn more about the performances, museum exhibitions, tours and programs scheduled for the upcoming school year. Educators in attendance will have the first opportunity to book their classrooms for the featured activities.
“Engaging with educators is key to our role as the staff of Community Engagement and Education. We look forward to building relationships with educators through our upcoming programs,” describes Annalee Adair, Manager, Community Engagement & Education.
Educators are invited to mingle with colleagues inside the Baby Grand Theatre, to bring a fellow teacher, and enjoy light refreshments. As well, there will be a chance to win tickets for a free class performance at the Grand Theatre, a free class program at the Pump House Steam Museum or the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum. Pre-registration increases an educator’s chance to win prizes. To register for this event, please RSVP at www.kingstongrand.ca/learning-events or contact Jenny Pedler, Program Coordinator, at 613.546.4291, ext. 1172.
Understanding the time and financial constraints that educators face, the City of Kingston’s Cultural Services would like to recognize the generous support of CIBC Children’s Foundation and CIBC Wood Gundy. As our official Education Underwriter, their support helps to offset the ticket prices, making this season’s student performances at the Grand Theatre more affordable and accessible to young people in our community.
