Going to the theatre in Kingston is a special event. It depends on the show what duds audience members will wear - we've seen a few pairs of cowboy boots at some of our country shows, plenty of taffeta and tulle at the ballet, and soignee gowns at classical recitals.
At the Grand, you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable at a performance and it's not unusal to see a wide variety of outfits, from jeans and a comfy sweater to a lace dress, milling around the lobby bar at intermission. No, you don't have to dress up to come to the theatre - but you can if you want to! Sometimes, there's nothing sweeter than pulling out your best dress or a great tie for a more formal night out. Especially if you spent the day in sweats or wearing sensible shoes.
