The Vogue Charity Fashion Show (VCFS) is an annual performing arts show that is produced and executed entirely by Queens University students. The show was first established in 1997 by a small group of students performing in Grant Hall. Over the last twenty-one years, VCFS has grown into one of the largest student-run and charitable organizations at Queens, as well as one of the most highly anticipated events within the Queens and Kingston Community. VCFS provides the opportunity for students to showcase their creative talents and abilities, allows ambitious leaders to be a symbol of social responsibility, and encourages students to give back to the community in a meaningful way. The cast is comprised of over 120 students, including passionate dancers, models, musicians, choreographers, and student designers, as well as a dedicated executive committee.
VCFS has developed a tight-knit community of club members, alumni, and supporters, all of whom are instrumental in helping to achieve its fundraising goals. With community support, VCFS has raised and donated over $400,000 to different Kingston-based charities over the last 21 years. This year, we are supporting the Kingston Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), which is a national charity that helps maintain and improve mental health for all Canadians. As the nationwide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA helps people access the community-based resources they need to build resilience and support recovery from mental illness in their own communities. We are incredibly excited to be working with such a dedicated group of people in support of a very worthy and relatable cause to all. If you are unable to attend our show, but are still interested in supporting our cause, please donate to: http://bit.ly/2CKTjdi. Within the Message to the Charity box, please write VCFS to help support our organization directly!
