Bottle Tree Productions was formed in 2006 as a theatrical touring company. The company performed Charles Robertson’s plays; Ghost of the tree and Pretty Pieces in places like Toronto, London, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. In 2007, while the Grand Theatre was under renovation, Bottle Tree Productions became the resident theatre company of the Wellington Street Theatre up until 2011. We  produced musicals such as Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, and plays such as Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Shakespeare’s Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, Noel Coward’s Private Lives, plays by Canadians Judith Thompson and Norm Foster and an assortment of original work. In 2012 we moved to St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church after The Wellington Street Theatre was sold. There we produced The Sound of Music and Les Miserables.

In 2014, Bottle Tree Productions were thrilled to become a resident theatre company at the Grand Theatre and look forward to bringing great musical theatre to the main stage. Over the years we have also worked with many fabulous musicians from near and far. We look forward to bringing these accomplished musical acts to the Grand.

But Bottle Tree Productions is much more than your average theatre company. We have an extensive website devoted to all facets of theatre which reaches out to people from around the world with tips and advice.
