About Hairspray

Broadway's Tony® Award-winning musical-comedy phenomenon takes you back to 1962 Baltimore, as 16-year old Tracy Turnblad sets out to dance her way onto TV's most popular show. Can a big girl with big dreams — and even bigger hair! — change the world ... and still have time to win the boy she loves?

This mega-hit is piled bouffant high with laughter and romance — and enough deliriously tuneful new songs to fill a nonstop platter party. It's the winner of eight 2003 Tony® Awards, including Best Musical.

"IRRESISTIBLE! If life were everything it should be, it would be more like "Hairspray". Stocked with canny, deliriously tuneful songs and the freshest array of young singers and dancers since "Rent", "Hairspray" succeeds in recreating the pleasures of old-fashioned musical comedy without seeming old-fashioned."
— Ben Brantley, The New York Times

About The King's Conscience

Theatre Kingston with Salon Theatre Productions presents The King's Conscience, an exciting "remix" of Shakespeare's Hamlet. It's the story of a princely young man who battles the demons that haunt him after the mysterious death of his father. The play combines hip-hop, comedy, tragedy, skull-juggling, and some of Shakespeare's greatest soliloquies. Written by award winning playwright Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman, The King's Conscience stars National Theatre School graduate and Kingstonian David Rockne Corrigan and is directed by Layne Coleman, former Artistic Director of Toronto's Theatre Passe Muraille. A warm-up act features Sheridan College Music School graduate and Kingston-born Anna Sudac as the love-mad Ophelia.

About Matt Dusk

There are swingers and then there is Matt Dusk - a singer, songwriter, producer, arranger and jazz-pop musicologist. The Juno Award nominee studied piano under Canadian jazz legend Oscar Peterson. His third CD, Good News, contains twelve songs, some written by Matt, but most are covers that he spent over a year traveling the world to hand pick and record. In concert, Matt is joined by his nine piece band of horns and rhythm.

Opening for Matt Dusk is Toronto singer-songwriter Emma Lee. Her debut album Never Just A Dream "is a collection of songs inspired by the sort of heartache that is universal to anyone who has lived a life worth living. Co-produced with Mitch Girio, the sound slips seamlessly from swingin' jazz to dreamy 50's pop, with hints of folk and blues tied together by vocals as rich and sweet as a red velvet cupcake"
