About Titus Andronicus

Titus, a Roman general, returns to Rome after a victorious campaign against the Goths. In tow as captives are Tamora and her sons — one of whom, Alarbus, is sacrificed at the hands of the sons of Titus. Tamora plots with her Moorish lover, Aaron, against Titus. One of Shakespeare's bloodiest and one of his first tragedy's comes alive on stage.

About Jekyll & Hyde

There will be a bus available from TORONTO to the theatre for the January 17th, 2:00pm performance for an additional $40.00 per person. You must be booked before January 7th, or the bus may be cancelled due to lack of interest. Pick up is at Yorkdale at 9:30am, and returning directly following the performance. Please indicate in the COMMENTS section of your order if you are interested in this offer.

Produced by Mike Sheppard, Directed by Alain Richer, Musical Direction by Emma Dargie, Vocal Direction by Kashka Ironside, Choreographed by Beth Turcon, Set designs by Martha Kroeker, Costume designs by Julia Holbert, Lighting designs by Alex Powell.

An evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, Jekyll & Hyde is the story of a devoted son attempting to cure his mentally ill father. When his ideas are rejected by the hospital board, he takes matters into his own hands by experimenting with a formula to rid himself of any evil that may lurk beneath the surface. Unfortunately, the experiment goes awry and Dr. Jekyll undergoes a transformation into Mr. Hyde, who wrecks havoc in Victorian London. He must then fight this inner-evil as his fiancé worries, and important members of London society begin to mysteriously die.

Queen's Musical Theatre's Jekyll & Hyde is a story of love and lust, reason and hypocrisy. The late Victorian tale questions the rise of ambition in an increasingly modern world and blurs the lines between good and evil; questioning which is right and which is wrong.

About The Heiress

A classic drama by Ruth & Augustus Goetz. It is 1850s New York and shy, plain Catherine Sloper falls desperately in love with a delightful young fortune hunter. Her lack of worldliness prevents her from realizing that the young man's interest in her is not based on her charm but the family's wealth. Catherine's father, a successful doctor, sees through the fortune hunter and forbids the marriage. The daughter suggests an elopement that fails when the young man realizes that her expected fortune will go elsewhere if he marries her. Catherine retires into a little world of her own, but the fortune hunter returns after the father's death and Catherine again accepts him when he calls by appointment. Or does she?
