About WHAT MILDRED DID

A Comedy by John Green (an Oshawa Author).

Mildred is the full time housekeeper for Gwen and Charles Harrison III.  The household also includes Lorenzo, the very colourful cook.  Charles has a problem - he acts out so he can write "the world's greatest murder mystery play", but he's a lousy writer and it's getting him down.

Enter mouse Mildred.  She has done something that makes Charles alternately excited and deeply depressed.

Throw in Lorenzo in a huff, Gwen feeling neglected and Mr. Fenwick, the publisher, who feels great affection for them all and you have a crazy, funny mix that gets more and more complicated.

Starring Terry Wade, Joy Worsnup, Brent Neely, David Lay and Katie Flower Smith as Mildred.

About A Streetcar Named Desire

by Tennessee Williams | directed by Ian Malcolm

This well-known play needs no introduction. It is a classic. It contains one of the most famous lines from literature – “I have always depended upon the kindness of strangers.” Blanche Dubois’ slow descent into self-delusion is drawn out onstage when she visits her sister in New Orleans and is intensified by the earthy and “normal” brother-in-law. It is a tragic and effective drama, which ranks as one of the greatest in theatre.

About The Women in Black

by Stephen Mallatratt | directed by Ken Weston

Who is the woman in black? The mere mention of the woman terrifies the locals, for she is the spectre who haunts the neighbourhood. Anyone who sees her dies. This thriller has all the right elements to keep your attention; thick fog, an isolated old house that can be cut off from the mainland when the water rises, ghostly echoes of an old horse and cart that are not present - into this situation, to stay for a few days, comes the executor to settle the estate. Can he survive? Can you?
