About Glen Fast, Conductor; Janina Fialkowska, Piano
The Kingston Symphony joins the world in helping to celebrate the 200th anniversary of two musical masters – Chopin and Schumann. To honour Schumann we present his third symphony (the Rhenish). For Chopin we have a special treat. Extraordinary Canadian pianist and a favourite of Kingston audiences, Janina Fialkowska, performs Chopin’s Fantasy on Polish Airs. She also premiers Juno Award winning composer John Burge’s Prelude Variations, inspired by Chopin. This will be a party not to be missed!
