Simple Gifts, Amazing Grace, O Shenandoah…this fascinating exploration of the rich tapestry of American music will range from Shaker and shape-note traditions to Aaron Copland, the incomparable Leonard Bernstein and one of the most exciting and popular voices in contemporary choral music, Eric Whitacre.

The Youth Singers and the Men's and Women's Choruses perform.

The clear, sweet voices of Cantabile's Junior and Children's Choirs join friends and neighbours from far and wide in a joyous children's choir festival that celebrates the 'greening and growing' of spring. The Ottawa Children's Choir, directed by Kingston native Alison Prowse and the Peterborough Children's Chorus directed by Maureen Harris-Lowe, will make their Kingston debut at this joyful presentation.
