About AN EVENING WITH C.S. LEWIS

An intimate evening with the author of The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe, portrayed by acclaimed British actor, David Payne.

The year is 1963 and C.S. Lewis has been asked by his friend J.R.R. Tolkien to give an informal talk to a group of American writers at his home outside Oxford. The audience is spellbound as, with a display of oratory and humour that made him one of England’s most famous public speakers, he recounts the significant events and the people that shaped his life.

This is a rare opportunity to experience the man behind the Chronicles of Narnia Series, and dear friend of the author of the Lord of the Rings, J.R.R. Tolkien.

Payne’s one-man C.S. Lewis show has delighted audiences across the U.S. for the past 8 years. This show is one of four exclusive Canadian engagements.
