In her internationally acclaimed bestsellers The Breadwinner and Children of War, she explores the common ground that unites all peoples, quietly promoting the ideals of social justice between nations, races, and communities. The journey continues with her new novel for teen readers, No Safe Place, which lays bare the lives of young modern-day migrants. Also recently released is Ellis’s anthology of first-person accounts We Want to Know: Kids Talk About Bullying.
