Grand Theatre Foundation and Grand Theatre Presents the First Annual Kingston Grand Festival of Canadian Wine

Featuring top ranked wineries from British Columbia, Niagara and Prince Edward County and exclusive tastings led by Canada's top wine critics comparing Canadian pinot noirs and sparkling wines with the best of France.

Join us for our first annual wine fundraising event for the Grand Theatre Foundation.

  • Canadian Gold Tasting & Seminar
  • Silent and live auctions
  • Live entertainment and hors d'oeuvres buffet
  • "Side by Side" - Burgundy & Canadian Pinot Noir tasting with David Lawrason: The Burgundy region of France is the homeland of pinot noir; and Canada is its brave new frontier. This blind tasting of six premium pinot noirs will explore the similarities and difference in terms of geography, wine style and flavours, not only between France and Canada, but regions within Canada.
  • "Bubbles" - Champagne & Canadian Sparkling Wine tasting with Konrad Ejbich: Canada is just beginning to earn a reputation for fine sparkling wine. This blind tasting of six wines will compare Canada’s emerging bubbly stars with proven performers from Champagne.
  • "Canadian Wine 101" with Christopher Waters

Tickets: $75 plus app. charges includes Wine Tasting 101. "Side by Side" tasting is an additional $50 and the "Bubbles" tasting is $35. Please note tickets are NOT available online and must be purchased at the Grand Theatre Box Office by phone at 613-530-2050 or in person at 218 Princess St.
