Michael Ondaatje, internationally acclaimed and beloved novelist and poet, reads from a selection of his work, which includes 13 books of poetry (The Collected Works of Billy the Kid, Rat Jelly, The Cinnamon Peeler, and Handwriting) as well as six novels including the Booker-winner The English Patient, In the Skin of a Lion, Coming Through Slaughter, Divisadero, and The Cats Table. He appears with Nigerian/American Teju Cole, street photographer and author of the 2012 PEN/Hemingway winner Open City. Join these two fascinating writers in conversation with award-winning poet, novelist, essayist, and documentarian Dionne Brand. Presentation of student writing contest awards.
